Mission

The mission of Heart and Hands Family Center is to provide secular programming that nourishes both children and their families.  Children enjoy time in nature, engage in play-based learning, cook, and work with their hands on special handwork projects.  Their families receive support navigating child development, establishing family routines and rhythms, and explore parenting as a path of self-development.

Philosophy

Heart and Hands Family Center looks to Waldorf education, LifeWays North America, and RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) for inspiration as well as nature-based early childhood programs world-wide.  Developmentally appropriate practice, hands-on learning, and ample time outdoors with a predictable class rhythm are hallmarks of our program.
