Are you looking for a great enrichment class this upcoming semester? Back by popular demand, we will host an afternoon enrichment class focused on cooking skills, but with a new twist! Students in attendance will make dinner AND dessert together each Tuesday afternoon. Yes, the students will go home having had dinner! (They might just need a snack before bedtime.) Gluten-free diets will be accommodated. Please indicate in Sign-up.

At the conclusion of class in May, all students enrolled for the semester will receive an age-appropriate knife to use at home, a special cutting board, and other fun “merch” that we can’t discuss yet!

As always, we’ll spend time outdoors and in creative play in classroom centers as well!

If you are needing a long day of care each week, children 3 and older could attend Heart and Hands from 8:30am-5:30pm on Tuesdays using drop off morning class 8:30am-12:30pm, drop-in afternoons 12:30pm-3:30pm, and Supper Club enrichment class 3:30-5:30pm.

Some of the skills we’ll work on:

  • cutting/peeling/dicing

  • kneading, sifting, cracking eggs

  • opening a can

  • measuring/weighing

  • pouring/scooping

  • cleaning the workspace

  • setting the table

  • nutrition-discussion

  • digestion/the human digestive tract-discussion
